Resumo:
There are several nursing practice areas, which require specific skills for each level of attention and consequently a defined identity. It is understood that the personality, influenced by family, cultural and social issues, will contribute to the training of professional nursing identity. This research aimed to understand the perception of nurses as their professional identity in the Primary Care setting. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The research was with 16 nurses in Primary Care of Cajazeiras municipality in the state of Paraiba. We used a semi-structured interview as data collection technique. The information from this study were analyzed by Discourse Analysis, understanding that this has support for understanding the interconnected senses to time and space practices, mediated by speech, history and social context, and this speech still viewed as space of understanding between language, ideology and meaning for those who utter. It showed that everyday nursing practice in Primary Care is directly influenced by the doctrinal principles as well as organizing the Unified Health System, striking being the search for a longitudinal care, with a view to promoting health and preventing people's grievances ascribed also part of the nursing work process in Primary Care are the leading stocks, which enables you to manage, as well as oversee the sectors and services developed by the unit staff. It was noticed that the nurse is the main element of the Primary Care, responsible for the realization and consolidation of the Family Health Strategy. The Ideological Formation of this investigation was the Making (In) visibility, as the nurse tries this movement perform actions that can pass the visibility of their practices, but it ends up losing the excessively spray their practices, especially in some situations by ignoring the legal and ethical boundaries of their profession. It is noted the importance of further research which will influence the reality, whether in teaching and assistance, with a view to sensitizing the actual practices of the nurse, aiming thus make visible the invisible work of this professional category.
