Religion has been the object of study for human beings in the pursuit of achieving its essence in humanity, while being intangible, in religion the individual often seeks to solve the problems of life. The faithful approach the religious leader, seeking guidance ranging from spiritual guidance to the guidelines that underlie aspects of the health-disease, eg, pregnant women are mentioned who were affected by the virus Zika and their children are more likely to have microcephaly, neurological disorders, malformations, miscarriage and low birth weight, also reaching the mothers that, to give birth found that their children were born, and after careful evaluation, were diagnosed with microcephaly and it will be a special child with a differentiated care. Meanwhile, the influence of religion has been working spirituality and it can be used as a complementary alternative, negatively or positively in the pregnancy counseling or treatment of babies born with a diagnosis of microcephaly. Biomedical and spiritual care must happen simultaneously during prenatal care, postpartum and newborn care and it is important to emphasize that the treatment may not be based only on faith. This work aims to analyze the limits and possibilities of the concept of religious leaders, health professionals, pregnant and postpartum women about the influence of religion / spirituality address the epidemic of Zika virus. This is a descriptive exploratory-study a predominantly qualitative nature, methodologically based on historical and dialectical materialism. The survey was conducted with religious leaders, health professionals, pregnant and postpartum women, in basic health units in the city of Picuí, Paraiba, which met the public chosen for research, totaling 19 employees who participated in the interviews through a semi-structured . The discussion was through eleven (11) empirical categories and three (03) analytical categories, allowing the issue of deepening and pointing out that most lines converge to the speech that religion / spirituality has a positive influence in the prevention of this disease as well as aid in the treatment, in the interim scientific and empirical knowledge is integralizam-to assistance for qualified health. One can understand that this study allowed the understanding that religion and spirituality today, is increasingly being sought by the faithful in order to obtain a spiritual support for aid and coping with adverse life situations. It was also observed that religious leaders can work directly with the health staff in disease prevention and some information about the Zika virus as the diagnosis and treatment still go slowly.
