Introduction: Education is present in all moments of the life of a human being, in the specific case of health education, it can be said that its concepts and purposes evolved according to paradigm shifts that occurred in the health sector. General Objective: In this sense, this study has as general objective, to report the influence of health education on improving the quality of life of primary care users in the health-disease process according to the online literature. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, based on data from the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF) and Electronic library Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SciELO). The term "Health Education AND Quality of Life AND Health-Disease Process", "Health Education AND Quality of Life OR Health-Disease Process" was used as search strategy. As inclusion criteria, the articles, dissertations, theses and monographs available in full in the period of 10 years (2007-2017) in the Portuguese language were delimited. Results: The studies point out the difficulties that health professionals face in carrying out educational actions, especially in terms of infrastructure, inputs, materials and technological equipment. The emergence of improvements in the quality of life of users who underwent the process of health education, confirming the importance and impact of the educational process in people's lives and the improvement of health education practices through play, since Ludic activity functions as a mediator of the teaching-learning process. Conclusion: Health education activities should always be based on the search for the current, new methodologies, often requiring a more creative approach that can facilitate individual and collective learning.
