Patients with Chronic Renal Failure (CIR) are in the state of renal failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant. For that reason, it´s a necessary to intervence rescuing the respect for human life, considering the social, ethical, educational, psychological and emotional conditions, circunstances which mostly changed and require a new paradigma of life. Has the laughter therapy as an alternative to hospitals lessen their sense of fear, anxiety and doubt about the treatment. The laughter therapy put the art of laughter as a tool to assist in recovery their emotional state of the organic person giving the ambience a more human and holistic care, too f the treatment and disease. The goal of this job is to check the contribution of laughter therapy to patients subject hemodialysis. This is a descriptive, exploratory, cross-sectional study intervensional of Quantiqualitative approach. The result will be analyzed and presented in tables and graphs and the lines will be categorized and posteriorly discussed by the literature. The sample report 53 patients with CIR in the hemodialysis treatment at the regional hospital of Cajazeiras of both sexes, between 21 and 71 years. As a result, they were 33 male patients and 20 female patients, the majority of participants were aged 61-70 years; with primary unfinished level of education. Relative to the environment variables related receiving hemodialysis and mood before of the humor intervention, we have found 40 (75%) of patients that said they were happy at the time, 08 (16%) said they were saddened and 05 (9%) said themselves with fear. After the intervention of Laughter Therapy, we have found the environment variables and condicitions of humour of which 52 patients (98%) said they were happy and 01 (2%) remained sad. The data proves how much laughter therapy is a positive tool and shoul be applied to patients with CIR subject hemodialysis treatment because it can minimize pain and help in the recovery of hospitalized patients. Through the study, it was found that this therapy subjecty patients believe that it may be an alternative to the process of healing.
