Abstract:
The ocular changes in people with Down syndrome (DS) are presented as a problem that takes
prominence in the scientific community because they are a determining factor in the way of
life of these people and therefore deserves the proper attention. With this focus, the study, in
general, looked through the bibliographical research, the ophthalmic disorders in people with
DS. And more specifically it identified what are the particular ocular changes to such a
syndrome, and glimpsed the possibilities to assist the ocular changes in these people. This
production is characterized as one Analytics Library Research, made possible through a
review of qualitative nature of literature, which will discuss the ocular changes in people with
Down syndrome and these changes, health needs. The study showed, following consideration
of scientific production, the ocular changes in people with pointed SD, are not presented in its
incidence, but to have something to do with people with the syndrome, as is evidenced in this
group. Thus it is imperative to address the health needs of people with Down syndrome by
focusing too, the ocular changes that these guys have, because they show more propensity to
develop them. Starting from early research, which will provide the diagnosis in a timely
manner, later performing the necessary treatment and, of course, always promoting the
orientation, that way people with Down syndrome can be watched in full and enjoy the rights
that are safeguarded to every citizen.
