Despite being an ancient disease leprosy, shows up with high epidemiological indices and their carriers are not only affects by pathophysiological aggravations of the disease once the stigma led to her cause great psychosocial concussions, making the subject affected live in social and family exclusion, contributing to a non-acceptance of the disease. In these groups, was identified a high degree of resilient behavior, which caused coping strategies in the face of adversity, so that the subject does not develop psychological problems and to see into the future in a positive way. The present study aims to characterize the scientific knowledge produced about resilience in patients diagnosed with leprosy, published in online journals in the last ten years. It is an integrative literature review conducted, through bibliographical survey based on experience by the authors. The final sample was composed of four scientific articles a doctoral thesis and a monograph, both selected by the inclusion criteria established in advance. The pursuit of this material took place in March 2016, considering the descriptors "Hansen's disease", "resiliency psychology" and "nursing care" in the databases SCIELLO, BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE, PUBMED, Google Scholar and the Portal of journals (CAPES) and Virtual Health Library (VHL). Before the material studied was conducted the survey and subsequently identified four Bibliometric thematic categories used to analyze and discuss the data collected. They are: leprosy Impacts generated in the lives of individuals affected; The term resilience in the face of the diagnosis of leprosy; Influencing factors of Resilience in individuals with leprosy and strategies used by people with leprosy to face adversities related to disease. The results obtained by research evidence which the main coping strategies developed by leprosy patients against the adversities of the disease and the stigma that it carries. Therefore, the study presents a concrete possibility to serve as aid strategies and effective care plans, linked to the sentimental, in which the management of the nursing care plan can intervene to stimulate or even extend the individual capacity to face the adversities that emerge in the course of the disease. Highlighting the importance of the subject and the shortage of the number of publications on the same.
