Résumé:
The development of new materials by mixing of polymers (polymer
blends) is feasible and allows the combination of different properties of existing
polymers extending the range of technological applications. In this research for
the development of blends were used PP/PA6 two stages: the first was to
determine the concentration of 20, 30, 40 and 50% by weight of polyamide 6
(PA6) matrix of polypropylene (PP). The second step was to investigate the
influence of three reactive compatibilizers (PP-g-MA, PP-g-AA and E-GMA) on
the performance of blends of PP/PA6 in a fixed concentration. In both stages of
this work, we used a twin-screw extruder counter-rotational to perform all the
mixtures, where, later, the samples were injected and the mechanical tests of
tensile and impact analysis and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) ,
Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Fourier Transform Spectroscopy in the
Infrared of Region (FTIR), X-Ray Diffratometry (XRD) and oscillating rheometry
in Linear Viscoelastic Regime. In the first stage, the impact resistance of the
blends was improved compared to pure PP, but due to immiscibility between
the polymers, the tensile strength of the blends were reduced. In the second
stage there was significant improvement of mechanical properties of the blend
with the addition of the compatibilizer PP-g-MA compared to the blend without
compatibilizer.
