Résumé:
The therapy with medicinal plants has intensified the reserches about photochemical studies. Associated with this fact, the increase of the pathogenic microorganism resistence in synthetic drugs, instigates the investigation for obtaining new antimicrobials. The Sida ciliaris L. is a species of Malvaceae Family, it is present in Curimataú of the Paraíba, and does not have herbal analysis in the literature. This fact, related to active substances, justifies the realization of this work, it aims achieving a phytochemical screening and evaluating the antifungal activity of the Sida Ciiaris L. The chemical tests was be conducted to identify the terpene, steroid, saponin, alkaloid, flavonoid and tannin classes, while the antifungal activity evaluation will be conducted with the strains Aspergillus flavus, Candida tropicalis, Trichosporon inkin, Rhizopus oryzae, Rhodotorula spp.e Trichophyton spp. Analysis of the chemical composition of S. ciliaris L. identified classes of compounds of biological importance such as steroids, tannins and alkaloids. As for the antifungal activity of the species concerned, this proved to be absent for all tested microorganisms.
