Résumé:
In Brazil, there are several public schedules to seek guarantee the food and nutritional safety of the population. Between them, the “Bolsa Família” characterize itself like as conditioned financial redistribution. In this way, this paper has as a objective analyse the food and nutritional safety in children under five years olds who are under “Bolsa Família” and other families living on Cuité- PB. It is a descriptive transversal study realized in 2015. It was applied a structured questionnaire to the SAN evaluation where it was utilized the Brazilian unsafety scale. To the nutritional state classification it was choose several anthropomorphic variables like A/W (Age/Weight), H/A (Height/Age) and BMI/A (BMI/Age) in consonance with the 2006 OMS references, and up to those variables a socio-economical evaluation (Mother’s educational level, number of people on the residence, house income and financial commitment on food). The sample was 226 children, which 68,1% were in food unsafety. On the nutritional state, the eutrophic state prevails, even so the obesity and malnutrition also appears among the interviewed families, with greater prevalence of obesity. Those results corroborate the Brazilian nutritional transition on curse, in which the malnutrition exists and the occurrence of obesity rise on the population. The “Bolsa Família” program when combined with others programs and strategies, seem to contribute more effectively to the nutritional well-being of the population and promote a more health diet to children.
