The purpose of this paper is to describe the profile of patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing
hemodialysis in the Paraiba sertão. The specific objectives are: to describe the
demographic characteristics, the possible etiological factors of chronic kidney disease, the
results of the main laboratory tests and the prevalence of morbidities associated with
kidney disease in hemodialysis patients. A cross-sectional, descriptive research was performed.
