Resumen:
The present research aims to analyze the teaching methodology of Physical Education in Elementary School in two schools of the countryside: Conceição farm and the District of Pio X. Both are located in the municipality of Sumé, State of Paraíba, Brazil. This is a descriptive, qualitative field research, performed through non-systematic observation. The teachers presented a disparity in relation to the contents applied to the students of Elementary School. The observations were made in two moments in which the Physical Education practice was observed, with that, there were difficulties regarding the offer of the discipline by the teachers. It was found that one of the teachers did not develop an organized process, within a logic, where he did not demonstrate a method corresponding to the offered discipline, which is, presented a methodology surpassed to teach, leaving loopholes regarding the practice, providing and applying minimally the Physical Education contents. Concerning the second teacher, it was observed that he used a method within an organized process such as those required by the discipline of Physical Education, that is, with contemporary procedures and techniques, thinking about Physical Education as it really should be planned and implemented: Applying a convincing and preventive methodology; seeking to involve all the necessary elements so that the student grows learning the right way, thinking about the physical and mental development. According to the study, it was seen the lack of professionals qualified to work in the area, given that, it is necessary to promote improvements and skills for these teachers who cannot succeed while teaching the discipline. Physical Education is a pleasant discipline where students feel fulfilled when practicing it, it was observed during the study that, among so many disciplines it is without a doubt one of the most requested by a considerable portion of the students. This work provided new knowledge and learning, and at the same time the observations and analyzes answered several questions about the practice applied by these teachers, not only in the countryside, but also in the city. It serves as an example for a whole body of teachers that integrates the network since, once misapplied, students have certainly had the effects of this practice during the course of their school life. Therefore, the work served as a challenge that addressed a diversity of questions and answers around the teaching practice in the municipal schools, being clear the discrepancy, the lack of professionalism and knowledge of some teachers in relation to the discipline of Physical Education.
