Abstract:
It is well known that the contextualised teaching of Geography should offer opportunities for the rural student to understand the transformations in the geographical space, and to show to these peoples, inhabitants of this space, that they are concrete beings and, consequently, constructors of reality in which they are inserted. However, the teaching of Geography is still strongly influenced by traditional practices, geared only to memorizing and describing geographic space. In this perspective, the present study entitled "Production of the serial album in the teaching of Geography in the schools of the Field", was developed in the School of the Field Jose Bonifácio Barbosa de Andrade, in the Pio X locality, in the County of Sumé-PB, under the Bachelor's degree in Field Education in the areas of Human and Social Sciences, specifically in the teaching of Geography. The purpose of this paper is to report the experience of the production of the serial album in the teaching of Geography in the rural school and its contribution in the process of teaching teaching in the classroom. To carry out this research, we used the qualitative research assumptions, through action research that is divided into moments of training, production and experimentation in the academic and school contexts. In view of the development of this research, the production of the serial album is expected to be used as a didactic resource that has a potential in teaching learning and an important tool to facilitate learning and overcome the gaps left by traditional teaching.
