Quality control becomes crucial to ensure the safety of the product, through testing based on the adopted legislation. This study aimed to evaluate the supplement food quality calcium based marketed oysters in pharmaceutical form capsules four nationwide brands sold by Internet through physical-chemical quality control tests: Average weight, disintegration, assay and content uniformity. It was observed after the tests that the average weight parameter, all samples were not in accordance with the official compendium, the disintegration test, only to capsules of brands A and B disintegrated within the allotted time. Only sample A reached the level specified by most monographs of substances which are determined by the titration method.
