Resumen:
Adolescence is an important stage of human development to achieve the biopsychosocial
maturity, when is associated with pregnancy is obtained several experiences to be faced, that
with the support of parents difficulties are minimized. This study aimed to understand how
mothers experience to teenage pregnancy. This is an exploratory-descriptive study field with a
qualitative approach. The research involved the participation of seven mothers of pregnant
adolescents who received prenatal monitoring in Basic Health Units San Jose / PAPS and
Multirão the city of Cajazeiras – PB. Was performed a recorded interview, using a screenplay
semi-structured. The analysis of the survey data if embasou the model proposed by Bardin -
Content Analysis. The study followed the ethical rules of Resolution 466/2012, that respect
the ethical aspects of research involving human subjects. As for the results, it was observed
that most mothers of pregnant adolescents were in the age group of 41 to 50 years (57.2%)
were married (100%), had low educational level, with incomplete primary education (71.5%),
income family of 1 to 2 minimum wages (57.2%), and had as occupation, master of the home
(42.8%). Were addressed five categories of responses of subjective questions, in order to
answer the objectives of this study. During the research, it was found that the mothers of
adolescents are involved actively in the progress of the pregnancy, providing the emotional
support adolescent that needs, also the physical and financial care. It is noticeable the
importance of family environment on adolescent pregnancy, since, is the safe haven of the
pregnant.
