Abstract

The services offered in the identification of STDs in health facilities are limited, because there are few nurses who use the syndromic approach during consultations for identification and treatment of IST's. Thus, the diagnosis of these diseases are limited to the results of the screening test, which in turn take months to arrive, causing abandonment of examination results by usurious. This situation predisposes a weak assistance. It is known that anyone looking for this type of examination, most often presents a symptom or complaint, and not solving that time nursing consultations will lead to an extension of their suffering, and hinder treatment, depending on the infection and found the clinical picture of that user. Thus, the results of cervical screening in primary care in the city of Cajazeiras-Pb, it is essential source of research in order to know and expose the reality of this region so that from the findings we propose solving measures with the services. The goal of our research is to outline the results of cytopathology and understand the behavior of the users about the cessation of tests, in an area classified as hazardous. This is a survey of descriptive and exploratory with a qualitative approach and the venue for this survey was the Effort Health Unit, located in the municipality of Cajazeiras in the backwoods of Paraiba. In our study it was found that the reason why customers abandoned the results of the investigation was the inefficiency of delivery of the results of Pap tests. Women attended the units in the period determined by the nurse and the results had not arrived, and some were waiting for the ACS warn about the arrival. Therefore, there is need for a deeper investigation into covenant municipality / laboratory. The delay in delivery of the test results is leading to a drop in attendance in basic health units. The collection procedure is invasive, affects the intimacy of women, and not to continuity of care, leading to the removal of the same, because they know that to your problem in primary care will have no solution.
