Resumen:
The student understanding can be exploited in order to facilitate the process of teaching and learning, seeking and exploring strategies to implement efficient practices and quality education. Everyone knows that there are difficulties to be overcome in the process of teaching and learning innovation, but strategies are needed to overcome it. The use of games is a great way to boost classes, breaking the established routine and awakening interest in students. For this reason it was created two games for use in the classroom, with subjects treated in biology aimed at observing and analyzing the results of the integration of these playful methodologies, teaching evolution, natural selection and neo-Darwinism. The educational activities used in this study were carried out at the Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental e Médio José Roderick de Oliveira, in a class of 3rd year of high school, located in Nova Floresta- PB. The activities were carried out in four stages, the first stage was conducted an interview with teachers of science / biology, second playful lecture stage with the students, third stage application of games and fourth step the questionnaire with the students. The survey data were collected through interviews done with teachers and a questionnaire administered to students in the class as mentioned above, subsequently analyzed in Microsoft Office Excel 2007, by percentage calculations. To quote the subjects who participated in the survey and also protect their identities, their names have been coded as follows, letter A (student), followed by a number (eg A1, A2, A3 ...). The results were positive and the use of educational games in the classroom was given dynamically and profitably. One hundred percent (100%) of respondents said that it is important to study evolution and natural selection, but the reasons varied. Since 31.25% said they learned more from the games; 18.75% claimed to be good entertainment psychological help; 12.5% answered that helped to understand natural selection, said it was interesting because it helps to find out more about the issues, claim to be a fun way to learn and said it was important to study biology with dynamic, because it is more interesting. It was clear that the games were able to engage the student, confirming the need to enter new technique for teaching-learning process.
