Resumen:
In this work, drying of umbu pulp in a spouted bed, experiments were
made to determine the effect of air temperature on the moisture content of the dust obtained and on the
vitamin C to verify the thermal degradation of the process and the quality of the
product. The results indicate the temperature of 70 ° C (air inlet) as the highest
suitable for operation. The most suitable drying temperature is chosen,
other series of experiments were performed to determine the effect of inert loading,
air flow and also the circulation of solids in the maximum permissible pulp flow in the
with the objective of meeting the operating conditions that favor the capacity of the
maximum production at the desired quality. The drying of the umbu pulp in a bed of
spurt can be viable, provided that an exquisite study of the operational conditions and scaling up to optimize the process is done.
