Résumé:
In recent years the Brazilian education has shown high levels of bad behavior at school.
As an International Research on Teaching and Learning (Teaching and Learning
International Survey - TALIS), the country takes the lead in the world ranking for bad
behavior in the classroom. This has worried the educational community, as well as compromising the harmony and the quality of interpersonal relationships reflects negatively on the teaching-learning process. From this premise and knowing the importance of family and school education in the training of individuals, this study aimed to investigate the views of teachers and parents of students attending a municipal elementary school, located in Cuité-PB on indiscipline in schools, considering that the school distinguishes itself by having an occurrence book, prepared by the Institutional Council to notify indiscipline’s acts committed by students. The research is descriptive and qualitative nature, with the method for obtaining data the focus group procedure. As for the listed results, it was revealed that the legislation, family difficulties and lack of
limits in children consist of the main factors that support for indiscipline seen at school.
In this sense, it is emphasized that there is much to be considered, given that human behavior can be a result of the influence of various factors. However, a more coordinated and collaborative action between families and schools in the educational context is necessary in order to provide students an education based on ethics and more humanistic values based on cordiality and human society.
