Resumen:
This course conclusion work was developed from a qualitative research guided by the following problem: which concepts of probability that the 8th graders of Youth and Adult Education (EJA) present from the game "horse race" ? Aims to investigate the concepts of probability that the students of the 8th year of EJA present in a problem-based perspective and educational dynamics based on dialogic process with the game "horse race". The research was conducted with students from a public school in Rio Grande do Norte, in the classroom context. Research instruments used were: written records of the boards of the game and the field diary of researcher teacher. The research is presented in this work through chapters that cover: (1) the reference we take as a basis for drawing up the work with games in teaching adult education; (2) the method in which we develop our research and (3) the analysis of the probabilistic concepts that emerged from the game and exposing the contributions that the game can offer to the teaching and learning process. We conclude with the research that the game "horse race" can be an important tool for teaching and learning combinatorics, probability and statistics in adult education and it enables the movement of probability concepts, which can result in the development of probabilistic thinking.
