The PIBID is a government program created for enhancement of teaching and to encourage the teaching and improve initial training. The UFCG participates in this program since 2007. Since then the number of students and teachers involved has increased eightfold. The success of the program and the deficiencies in the initial formation generated the concerns that made it happen this research. This work aimed to investigate what contributions the PIBID brings teacher training in Health and Education Center (ESC). The research with quantitative and qualitative approach sought information together to members of the interdisciplinary PIBID to learn how PIBID has contributed to their formation. The study reveals that the PIBID contributes to academic training pibidianos making them more experienced and familiar with the school environment and also showed the need for expansion of PIBID.
