Muscular Dysmorphic Disorder (MDD) grows affecting both men and women as well as health professionals such as doctors, nutritionists, physical educators, gymnastic and bodybuilding students, who spend countless hours practicing physical activities using supplements and anabolics in search of the perfect body. In view of the above, the objective of this research was to evaluate the occurrence of the incidence of the psychological disorder of the body dysmorphia (vigorexia). This work is an individualized, descriptive and statistical study, a complex questionnaire of Adonis was used, using the scores of QCA according to Pope et al. (2000) in two academies of Picuí-PB. The questionnaires were numbered and then transposed to a digital platform using the features of the Microsoft Access version 2010 program. For the validation of the typing the Epi Info program version 6.02 was used. After typing, the database was transferred to the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) for Windows version 13.0 for statistical analysis of the data. As a result, it was observed that there was a moderate level of vigorexia being 50.0% of the sample (N = 15) with (p ≤ 0.05) and, severe being 6.7% of the sample (N = 2). We also observed the BMI of the participants where they found significant results, classifying them as overweight, with 53.4% of the sample (N = 16) and (p ≤ 0.05). In addition, 66.7% of the sample (N = 20) use dietary supplements. However it was noticed that even in small schools in the interior of Paraíba there are students who suffer from this disorder, it is now up to the practitioners to use some treatment options in which they better serve their case, thus avoiding a progressivity of DM.
