Resumen:
Introduction: The college students are a heterogeneous group of people with different sexual
behaviors and is common among them the adoption of risky sexual behavior. Objectives: The
study aimed to evaluate the sexual behavior of university students of health courses at the
Federal University of Campina Grande, Campus Cajazeiras - PB; identify sexual risk
behavior in the population studied; and relate the degree of knowledge of nursing and medical
students about sexual theme of risk sexual behavior adopted by them. Method: This is an
exploratory-descriptive research with quantitative approach. Data were obtained by applying a
questionnaire composed of 20 objective questions, addressing demographic data partner and
the related topic of study. Results: The results revealed that the university had early sexual
initiation and presenting risky sexual behavior. Conclusion: There is no direct relationship
between the level of knowledge about the sexual theme of risk and safe sex practices by the
students in the health area.
