Abstract:
Health, once launched as a condition of fundamental human right, began to demand a convergence in the constant progress between health and law. The right to health has since become a kind of word that names the struggle for health. Bringing this concept to the prison environment, it understands by right to health the access to integral health guaranteed by the State in the form of medical, pharmaceutical and dental care, as established in art. 3 of the Criminal Enforcement Act. How have scientific journals in the last five years been treating women's health care under deprivation of liberty? In this sense, this study aimed to synthesize and analyze the studies contained in scientific journals on national bases, between the years of 2013 and 2018, focusing on health care for women deprived of liberty. This study has a quantitative-qualitative approach of the integrative review type. For the bibliographic survey, the descriptors "Women's Health", "Prisons", "Care" were used in a Virtual Health Library (VHL) search, combined in pairs and then together using the Boolean operator AND to broaden the search. After the selection, eight (08) articles were included in the integrative review. These studies were analyzed and organized into two tables, based on a data collection instrument created by the researcher in charge. After the analysis, three axes on the topic addressed in the studies were listed. The results obtained with this research can subsidize the implementation of good practices in the health services in relation to the portion of the marginalized population addressed. We hope that this study contributes to the enrichment of the literature on women's health care under deprivation of liberty.
