Resumo:
The practice of honey production has been growing and becoming more and more
improved and valued. Being a product that promotes human health benefits. In addition,
its production process corroborates with agriculture, income shares, the environment,
the local economy and job opportunities. Aiming at the commercialization of
beekeeping products, the beekeepers of the Beekeepers and Meliponicultores
Association of Curimatau and Seridó Paraibano, carrying out all the processing of the
products, guaranteeing the security of products and services as a guarantee of the
market. What is one of the possibilities of product generation, the National School
Feeding Program, which has 30% of the financial resources destined to purchase
products from family agriculture, where honey is included. The issues that apply, aim to
separate them with the dichisms faced by beekeepers as an association of their products.
As an employed question, a cross-sectional descriptive study with an interview with
producers and managers of the PNAE in the city of Cuité-PB, through the semistructured
questionnaire and digital voice recorder. The results obtained from the
interviews showed that there is a male domination in honey production and in the fossa
of their homes, where all work in beekeeping / meliponección from other activities. It is
part of the creation of a municipality of Africanized, Jandaíra and Italian bees, with an
Africanized as predominant. PRONAF, A Million Cistern and P1 + 2 are some of the
means of production aid. Farmers continue to work to preserve the environment,
including the non-use of pesticides in their plantations and other actions. Some market
challenges, among them, the lack of SIF, which also affect the use of PNAE, however,
even so, researchers have more means for their products to circulate. To this end, the
following association is indispensable to become strong as the difficulties faced,
strengthening as an association.
