The climacteric is a natural phase in a woman's life. However, because of intrinsic and extrinsic, is easily interpreted as something pathological contributing to the quality of life in this stage is often, impaired. This study aims to analyze the quality of life in the daily lives of women who are experiencing menopause. This is a survey of descriptive with quantitative approach that included the participation of 55 women registered in UBS Sol Nascente and Tancredo Neves City Cajazeiras- PB that are according to the age range recommended by the Ministry of Health and attended the search criteria. For data collection was used an instrument of the type questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), version 21.0. With regard to results, it was identified that the majority of women does not have knowledge about the menopause, but shows markedly the characteristic symptoms of this period. Because of lack of knowledge, these women do not seek care for their grievances nor perform any type of treatment for the symptoms presented. With regard to quality of life, despite the existence of symptoms, most women report that there is no interference of symptoms in relation to quality of life, which is rated as good for much of the sample. It is expected that, given the results achieved in this study, those responsible for the service networks, which provide care climacteric women, can rethink the current care model and feel motivated to carry out new strategies, especially as regards the provision of information about the knowledge of this period, aimed increasingly at improving the quality of life of climacteric women.
