Resumo:
For about 10 years, the companies of the Brazilian building industry network have undergone significant changes within their internal management conception, technology and relationship with their customers. Along with these factors, several sectorial rules that conduct the programs for the implementation of the quality management system are appearing, including in the road sector. To comply with these new tendencies and demands of the Public Building
Societies. 'Consultancy Companies' that work on projects and supervision of roadwork have been led to implant management tools based in the NBR ISO 9001:2000. This work developed quality documents models elaborated based on pertinent bibliography of this sector and validated in a 'Consultancy Company' to prove their possibility of use in a quality certification, but, also, with the objective of valuing their internal processes and their benefited services. It has also accomplished a study case which assessed the benefits to a company of this sector after the implementation of the quality management system and ISO 9001:2000 certification. The answers provided by the studied company reflect that the process of quality management system implantation resulted in expressive improvements in its management, that disposed itself, at the research time, as one of the best of the class when compared to excellence reference.
