Resumen:
Chronic degenerative diseases (DCD) gradually install themselves and are
directly related to living standards. Among the DCDs is Systemic Arterial Hypertension
(SAH), defined as a multifactorial, silent clinical condition that, when detected, requires
prolonged and permanent treatment. Objective. To identify the literary production about
the nurse's role in the control of hypertension arterial. It is a study of narrative review,
held on November 7, 2018, by articles published in the period from 2008 to 2018 the
search occurred in the database of the Virtual Health Library and the Academic Google,
refined the search were found 09 articles that fit the inclusion criteria being analyzed
according to the precepts of the theme. The studies showed difficulties in nursing care
and consultation aimed at patients with hypertension, mainly in adherence to treatment.
It emphasizes an accumulation of attributions and activities put to the nurse making
precarious the assistance to the hypertensive, the necessity of change in the assistance,
in the education in health as well as in the nursing consultation. Showing if necessary
that the nurse seeks new ways that help in the care and control of hypertension.
