Resumo:
Family planning appears with the aim of assisting in the sexual and reproductive lives of
couples, working in the design, contraception and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases,
making a relevant action in reducing unwanted pregnancies, abortions and maternal and infant
mortality. Such actions are mainly carried out in the primary care services of the Unified
Health System, by a multidisciplinary team, who conduct their activities in order to meet the
target audience's expectations by providing quality care, promoting health and preventing
diseases. This study aimed to analyze the perception of users for assistance for family
planning. This is an exploratory research, descriptive and qualitative approach carried out in
the Basic Health Unit Multirão, city Cajazeiras-PB. The population consisted of 23 users
registered in this unit of Family Welfare System, since at the time of compiling the data had
only female to be served at the facility during the study. Data were collected in January 2015.
We used a semi-structured interview and free observation, so the information was organized
from the discourse analysis technique and analyzed according to the theoretical framework. At
first, he was made sociodemographics of the participants, followed by two categories, the first
focused on the lack of family planning of meaning and the second category comprises the
satisfaction in service through the evaluation of favorable and unfavorable factors assistance.
The survey results revealed that the majority of users search the UBS after the birth of the first
child, aiming to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. The study shows that users knew
contraceptive methods for the first time in the unit so it is a preferable environment to address
the sexual and reproductive issues. It is considered then, the need to meet the program
guidelines for its implementation in practice, aiming that all co-responsible accountable for a
well-deserved and satisfying service.
