Resumo:
This paper presents the tests performed in insulated hand line, in laboratory and field. It was used in the experiments the monofilament 3-6 mm polyamide line, aiming to be applied in energized facilities, such as: 500 kV transmission lines and 230 kV substations. Originally,
the monofilament is used in fishing or mowing .The application of the insulated hand line on energized facilities increases the productivity, due to reduction of time and effort of the linemen, not to mention the higher level of safety in the process. To evaluate the electrical
performance of insulated hand lines withstand electrical testing, the measurement of the leakage current were performed. New and aged samples were tested. For comparative purpose, the methodology used for the tests in insulated hand lines were the same as used for live line tools, such as hot sticks. The results were promising to work on energized facilities, showing satisfactory performance concerning to the electrical withstand, even when compared with the established tests of hot sticks.
