Resumen:
The study of multiphase machines is subject of several researches due to the possibility of making the electrical energy conversion process into mechanical energy more efficient, since it consumes more than 7 TWh per year. In this work, an initial study of a nine-phase induction
machine is performed and, as a result, two simplified mathematical representations obtained from double-three-phase and vectorial decomposition methods are presented. Also a comparative study between the nine-phase, the six-phase and the three-phase machines is realized. This study concerns the currents harmonic distortion, phase voltages and pole voltages, dq currents and phase currents. At last, experimental results using a RLload and a nine-phase machine with angle between the three-phase groups 0° are presented.
