A educação ambiental voltada para o uso racional da água na escola: diagnostico e intervenção.

Abstract

This work was developed at the State Elementary School and Middle Colonel Jacob William Frantz in the city of São João do Rio do Peixe - PB in order to work in environmental education, focused on the conscious use of water through technological actions and awareness measures for users, encouraging the rational use taking as theoretical contributions, UN (2006), UNEP (2016), ANA et al. (2005), among others. Among the methodological procedures was carried out a survey of water consumption profile, an action of awareness among students, administrative staff and school services and a deployment work flow reducers on taps and showers. For the survey of water consumption, we used an electronic device equipped with ultrasonic sensor to periodically monitoring the water level height in the school tank and recorded the information on a computer. The results obtained from this study showed that the use of such equipment decreased by 25.5% the consumption of water corresponding to 578 liters / day.
