Finding the teaching, somehow, by and large, decontextualized from the reality of the student and in view of the need to search for innovative resources that change this situation, resources that will bring the content addressed in the classroom closer to the reality of the student this work comes with the intention of using as one of these facilitators of education, a northeastern country tune, approaching how to use music in the classroom and the importance of using it, starting from a selection of songs from Northeastern composers, with focus on the themes, zoology, ecology and botany, with this, seeking to show that science and culture can be united in the awakening of teaching, relating concepts of science and appreciation of regional culture present in everyday life. For the accomplishment of this work it includes: bibliographic research on the subject, survey of fifteen songs from the northeastern scene related to content related to science teaching between the years 1947 to 2016, followed by assembly of tables with this selection and soon after categorization of the same according to the areas: zoology, ecology and botany, analyzing each song followed by suggestions for use in the room. With its accomplishment one can notice the necessity and importance of the search and the utilization of resources like the music to approach the presented content in room, of the daily of the student, demystifying a dominant culture often imposed, thus allowing the learner to value, motivate and interest both in the content and the cultural manifestations of his people, and thus discover and rediscover the value of the natural environment that he lives and studies, thus making meaningful learning the melody that builds the song of education.
