Resumo:
This thesis work has as a general theme of research the bandits, social phenomenon that set in
northeastern Brazil leaving marks on culture, memory and popular imagery. His first traces
emerged around the eighteenth century through the nineteenth and reached its peak in the
early decades of the twentieth century. He attempted to describe part of the significant history
to the creation of these bands in Paraiba, emphasizing the policy and the dominance of the
colonels of the time. The bandit would not be a revolt against the Colonels. On the contrary,
they complement each other. They associated themselves to local authorities or imposed
against them, resolving quarrels and conflicting pending. These situations depend on the
circumstances of the research time. The object shown in the figure bandit named Francisco
Pereira Danas, known as Chico Pereira, a differentiated bandit of others working in the
northeastern hinterland, which entered the bandits to avenge the death of his father, Jiao
Pereira. The questioning revolves around, from his life and career in cognac between the
years 1920 -1928 in the city of Nazarezinho - PB. From the book 'Revenge, No "by Francisco
