The National Policy of Integral Attention to Human Health aims at guiding male health care in the expectation that primary care will not be limited to recovery, guaranteeing health promotion and prevention of preventable diseases. Although the policy exists since 2009 we still have many obstacles to good development, deficiency in the interaction of the team that makes up the basic health unit, lack of training, are seen without knowledge about the health care of the man to put actions into practice, And on the other hand the man is embarrassed in the place where everything is aimed at the female sex. Faced with these barriers, one must find the best way to solve this important issue related to man, and try to rescue these men by receiving the best. In this sense, this study aimed to verify the insertion of the man in basic health care. This is an exploratory and descriptive study with quantitative-qualitative approach, developed with nurses from Basic Health Units of the city of Sousa-PB. The data were collected in the month of March, using a semi-structured form. The data of the objective questions were presented in tables and the subjective questions were organized and categorized according to the technique of analysis of Bardin and analyzed in light of the literature pertinent to the subject.
