Resumo:
Leprosy is a millenary, infectious disease of chronic evolution, which has a vast incapacitating and stigmatizing power, representing one of the infectious diseases that most affect the population today. Objective: To evaluate the quality of health services in leprosy. Method: This is an exploratory, descriptive, quantitative and secondary-based study carried out in the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance of the Department of Health of the Municipality of Aurora-CE. The collection took place in the records of the Information System of Leprosy Notification Diseases. The population consisted of 152 cases of leprosy reported in the SINAN during the time cut from 2009 to 2015, the sample was 151 cases that fit the selection criteria. The research was carried out obeying the ethical precepts governed by Resolutions 510/2016 and 466/2012 of the National Health Council. Results: It was verified that leprosy is hyperemic in the municipality and is expanding. It was found prevalence in males; in the economically active age group; in the brown color and residents in the urban zone. Most of the cases were classified operationally as multibacillary; dimorphic clinical form. Smear microscopy was performed in 85.4% of the cases. When evaluating the operational indicators, it was possible to observe that the municipality showed a better performance in the indicators: "Proportion of cases of leprosy in treatment abandonment among new cases diagnosed in the cohort years" and "Proportion of contacts examined of new leprosy cases diagnosed in the years of the cohorts "presenting annual results of 0% and 100% respectively. The worst performance was observed in the year 2014, in the evaluation of the proportion of cases cured in the year with the degree of physical incapacity assessed among new cases of leprosy in the cohort period, with 60.7% of cases evaluated. Conclusion: It is concluded that the service provided by the municipality is qualified as good to regulate, but that they present weaknesses in the performance of the Leprosy Control Actions.
