Resumo:
An analytical solution of the transient diffusion equation based on the liquid diffusion
theory to describe mass transfer inside the spheroids by considering constants diffusion
coefficient and equilibrium boundary condition at the surface of the solid is presented. The
diffusion equation in the cylindrical coordinates system applied for two-dimensional case was
solved using the Galerkin Method. Results of the moisture content distribution and average
moisture content during drying process to many spheroids are presented and analyzed.
