Résumé:
Since ten years ago, a group of dermatologic surgeons have been using nylon tulle, fabric composed of polyamide sterilized in autoclave, as the first layer of the dressing used after dermabrasion. It has been used because of the main characteristic of non-adherence during the skin reepithelization process. In spite of its use for a long time, this material has not been characterized until the moment. Therefore, the objective of this work is characterizing the polyamide tulle, which is used as a biomaterial since then. The microscopy results shows that the tulles are made of interlaced fibers, and that they presents intermediate porosity when compared with the commercial dressings
used. The chemistry composition and cristalographic structure were comproved after essays of FTIR, EDS and DRX. According to the results, we concluded that the studied material, from the physics-chemistry and morphologic point of view presents chemistry and cristalographic composition, which identifies it as a polyamide, presents intermediate porosity between the commercial dressings compared in this work, and still that the analyzed tulles presents from the biologic point of view promising characteristics to the application on organisms.
