The nursing’s function on action’s development to the critics patients is very important, enough it’s the way to develop the assistance to patient and will understand the pipelines and the feeling that involve the care provided. Thus, it’s necess the develop on the communication’s hability for the wock’s development, in the rescue of care as a process of respect and human closer recovery. Communication facilitates assistance and relationship between patients and nurses, granting changer in their benavior, from effective actions and understands of being sick. So, the objective of thes research in evaluating the process os communication between nurses and patients assisted in intensive care unit the theoretical framework has split up into three chapters, namely: Development history of intensive care units and its practice; Nursing on intensive care units : reflections of its role; and communication as an important instrument of care. Methodologically traded host an exploration study, quantitative and intentional sampling discretion and it was realized with nurses and technical of nursing’s intensive care unit from Alcides Carneiro Hospital and the Pedro I Municipal hospital. As a tool for data collection, we used a structured question develop by the researchers. Because it’s a survey of humans, attended resolution 466/12, being approved by the ethics committee from HUAC under the CAAE number 34725214.4.0000.5182, therefore was realize the data’s collection. The results were collected from a questionnaire and arranged in charts and tables. Obtained sample from 33 technicians and 19 nurse it was stressed that 52(100%) professionals in nursing know and recognize the value and the importance of communication to the nursing’s assistant to the patient on intensive care and 44(84,62%) of the professionals declare that to the established communication impossible to identify the patients’ needs for assistance gave the total of 51(98%) of quiet from professionals where these realize the existence of that facilitate communication between staff and patient in the ICV, During service, as well as 40(77%) cited nursing professionals recognize the existence of factors hinder communication. This research has brought critical findings for the professionals reflect on the important of using communication techniques during service.
