The National School Feeding Program (NSFP) is characterized as public policy within the feeding and nutrition most enduring in Brazil and the largest school feeding program in the world, aiming at ensuring access to a quality feeding and enough of it during the stay in school. Therewith, the present study aims to assess adherence to school feeding by the student and relate it to the markers of healthy feeding consumption and unhealthy of children enrolled in public schools of Frei Martinho/PB. To this was accomplished, in 2014, a study of cross-type census nature. The sample was composed of 284 students, 129 children and 155 adolescents. Were collected socioeconomic data, eating behavior and food consumption markers of the student, as well as analysis school feeding by the student. To determine the accession to the school feeding categorized the frequency of consumption in Fort Accession and Poor Accession / Not Consumed, these being represented respectively by 4 to 5 times / week and 1 to 3 times / week or not consumed. Those responsible for the students signed a Free Consent and Clarified Term allowing the research and subsequent dissemination. The results showed a high percentage of acceptability (93.9%) and variety (90.1%) of meals served at school, but only 54.2% of the students interviewed reported an effective accession to the school feeding, being the percent of adherence most effective among children. In addition, the menu offered in the month of the survey was composed of 11 preparations, being 4 based on couscous and 3 based on rice, besides the absence of fruits and vegetables in natura. All the preparations except the Couscous with Chicken and Yogurt with Cracker exposed a report of waste for over 20% of respondents. In relation to markers of food consumption was observed a low effective consumption of healthy eating indicators, except the Beans (82.3 %). The unhealthy diet markers also showed a low effective consumption, but it was observed that the frequency of accession to the school feeding varied inversely with the frequency of consumption of French fries or fried snacks, candy or cookie stuffed and Refrigerant. As well, glimpsed in 34% and 29% of students feeding behavior to buy and bring snacks to the school environment, respectively. Given the above, some aspects related to greater accountability by the school menu offered and the student welfare, aiming to stimulate this student to a higher effective accession to the school feeding, can contribute to the Human Right School Feeding is exercised by all students.
