Resumen:
This recent research has had like the objective the study of space-variability on water balance
and weather in the north of Brazil; and in Porto Velho City-RO has happened some impact
brought about deforestation, climate and so on. Thomthwaite - Mather's Met. Model (1955)
was used from 1970 to 2000, o f 48 great weather stations belonging to INMET NETWORK,
for a maximum capacity of water retention in the ground around 125mm. relating to several
researches, which have already been achieved in some regions in the north. There were two
researching tasks in Porto Velho/RO from 1945 to 1973 and from 1974 until 2003. Their
outcome has shown that space-van ability and seasonal period of precipitation of the northern
region is that leads to the parameters on water balance and weather relating to precipitation.
Both excess and water deficiency have followed some information in the region with results
from zero in the northwestern region with reference to water deficiency 850mm/year in the
coast 260mm/year up to the north of Tocantins State - at (Bico do Papagaio) Thus, the
regional weather system has had intensity, seasonal migration and great influence in the region
itself. And in Porto Velho/RO there is no evidence of tendency to deduct the regime of
precipitation and in the water balance parameters as the water deficiency has got superior
discrepancy in every period reaching a deduction of 51,5%. Concluding that space-variability
of precipitation and parameters of water excess and deficiency of the north region of Brazil is
controlled by weather system that has acted into the region with different intensity and
seasonal migration going down to the south causing some small deformity in the dislocation of
rainier and less rainy periods in the region both in the quantity and period of occurrence. And
in Porto Velho/RO the interannual variability of the average temperature of the air - more
important - has a great correlation with the operational events of EL Nino and La Nina,
happening between June and August: the average temperature of the air about water balance
from 1945/1973 and 1974/2003 had an oscillating deduction between 0,7 and 1,2°C.
