Abstract

The World Wide Web huge growth on the past years is responsible for some problems faced by its users, the broken-link in a hipertext being one of them. Resource mirroring schemes have been proposed to solve this problem, by decreasing the propability of unavailability of the resources. However, this schemes solve only the problem of reading mirrored resources, the problem of updating mirrored resources consistently are not treated. We propose a management scheme that uses optimistic and pessimistic strategies to maintain the mirrored resources consistency.
