Résumé:
Adolescence is a stage of life characterized by physical and behavioral changes in the
individual. In this period, many discoveries make them more vulnerable adolescents to risk
factors such as pregnancy, which can cause health problems for the mother and the fetus.
Family support is of unique importance, but a quality health care, where the mother can be
seen in full is essential to prevent maternal and child morbidity and mortality. The aim of this
study was to analyze the nurse's assistance in prenatal teens. This is an exploratory and
descriptive research with quantitative and qualitative approach, carried out in Basic Health
Units of the city of Pombal-PB. Data were collected in June 2015, through a recorded
interview guided by a semi-structured form. Data from the objective questions were presented
in tables and subjective, organized and categorized by the method of Bardin content analysis,
both analyzed in the light of the relevant literature. This research faithfully followed the
ethical requirements of Resolution 466/12 of the National Health Council. The participants
were 11 nurses, mostly (36.3%) aged between 23 and 28 years old, married (54.5%) with
vocational training time 01-05 years (54.6%); 10 (90.9%) reported having additional training,
and the majority (31.2%) in the intensive care unit; As for the operating time on prenatal care,
04 (36.3%) had 01-02 years; 08 (72.8%) underwent course or training in prenatal care, these,
none aimed at teenagers, and most (62.5%) for 01-02 years. The results revealed that nurses
realize the importance of his role in the prenatal teens and seek to offer a quality service,
however, the majority demonstrated that there is no prenatal care specific to the pregnant
adolescent. The call flow is performed in accordance with the recommendations by the
Ministry of Health, but the prenatal of pregnant adolescents is not differentiated from adult
pregnant women. The educational activities take place with pregnant women of other age
groups. The most difficulties encountered were: a pregnant adolescent resistance to follow the
guidance given; the lack of commitment in the same start and end prenatal; and the timidity of
the pregnant woman. Thus, we intend to contribute to the development of new studies on the
topic due to lack of current articles that address the issue. In addition to instigating the
Secretary of Health of the municipality to invest in training on prenatal adolescent health
professionals and encourage the multiplicity and interdisciplinary team members in the care
of pregnant adolescent.
