Breastfeeding is a stage of the female reproductive process, which ensures healthy growth and development of children, reducing child mortality, and generating benefits for the health of the mother and the newborn. It is known that the practice of exclusive breastfeeding when held down a strong bond of intimacy and intense union to mother and child. However, this experience only becomes possible when the mother has the real desire and willingness to breastfeed. Thus, the Ministry of Health launched several strategies to promote breastfeeding, but even before that, it is seen that there are still several factors that affect and influence weaning. In this situation, sees the need to evaluate the actions aimed at the stimulation of this act within the Family Health Strategy, from the experience of puerperal women. Thus, the objective of this research was to analyze the practice of particulars for exclusive breastfeeding, in the view of mothers in the city of Cuité-PB. This is a study of exploratory and descriptive field with a qualitative approach, developed with fifteen mothers enrolled in the Family Health Units, located in the municipality of Cuité-PB. For data collection was conducted semi-structured interviews with scripts, using the content analysis technique in thematic Bardin. By obtaining the results, it was found that the participants were between 18-35 years of age, most were farmers, with stable marital relations, little educated and with monthly income below the minimum wage, nine mothers had at least two pregnancies six one, most had at least two living children, had abortion in any of their pregnancies and most were undergoing cesarean section. We observed that the participants have a limited understanding about the concept of breastfeeding and know no benefit of this for himself, only for the child. Most received guidance during prenatal care, but is noted that these were not as sufficient and that other aspects such as maintaining breastfeeding upon return to work should be an issue addressed. It was noted that the network of family and social support is essential for the woman to feel safer and will have to exclusive breastfeeding until six months. Regarding the difficulties it appears that the said by mothers somehow inherent in the process of breastfeeding and usually only happen at the beginning of feeds. But with each passing day, it becomes more effective and enjoyable. However, it is important to understand a little of the universe experienced by mothers who breastfeed exclusively to have an effective prenatal care. It is essential to implement strategies that seek to involve his wife and all his family and social context in order to propagate the continuity of exclusive breastfeeding up to six months. Therefore, it is essential that professionals approach the reality of these, hearing and allowing them to express all your questions in order to clarify and realize that the possible risks for early weaning.
