The World Health Organization (WHO) states that traffic accidents kill, each year, more than 1 million people around the world, leaving about 20 to 50 million injured, and in 2020 the number of deaths reach more than 2 million deaths worldwide becoming thus the sixth leading cause of death. The main vehicles involved in traffic accidents are cars and motorcycles, meriting emphasis currently high ratio of accidents involving the latter type of vehicle. The present study objective was to describe through a systematic review of the literature the profile of victims of motorcycle accidents in Brazil, in the last 10 years. The papers were searched in the scientific periodic database "PERIODICO CAPES", based on three descriptors (DeCS): Epidemiology, Traffic Accidents, Motorcycle, accounting for 47 articles, which after the analyze of a sample composed of 12 articles. The selected work was performed at least search 5 months there is a maximum of four years, totaling 40,563 patients considered in 12 articles. We identified as the main involved in motorcycle accidents; men of working age and completed primary education know the rugged profile can allow the creation of preventive and care strategies, providing more alternatives for better care of the victims, as well as the implantation of measures minimize the negative consequences of such events.
