The potential of the Chronic Wound (CW) of provoking multiple and complex changes in elderly health and daily life can influence considerably in the Life Quality (LQ).The importance of integrating CW theme to the aging context, comprises up by the necessity to know what dimensions of the elderly LQ are affected by this chronic condition. Having in view the subjective and magnitude of the thematic, as well as the deficit of know ledge about the global influence of the old condition affected by CW. This study aimed to evaluate the elderly patients LQ with CW. It consists of a field study of exploratory and observational type of quant qualitative nature realized with 20 elderly. After approval by the Ethics Committee in Research of the original project in which it was grounded, data were collected with the use of sociodemographic questionnaires and WHOQOL-OLD developed by the World Health Organization, as well as a structured interview. The results were descriptively analyzed and present in tables and graphics in order to systematize the discussion and facilitate the understanding. The results elderly people with an average age of 74,25 years old, the mostly female people (60,0%), married (60,0%), illiterate (55,0%) and with a income below or equal to two minimum wages. Based on the WHOQOL-OLD, there is a regular perception of older people in almost all areas, which not reveals a very satisfactory LQ. The lowest percentages relative to satisfaction were for the domain: social participation (32,50%) and intimacy (35,31%). Only the domain related to the past, present and future activities got higher scores (61,56%). However, although the result of the Total Transformed Score (TTS = 45,94%) has revealed a regular condition of the elderly LQ, to analyze the participants speeches, it was perceived a compromised LQ condition. Thus, it is necessary, therefore, the public policies creations for the elderly, specially, those who are with chronic wounds in order to promote better LQ levels for this population segment. Before this, it is indispensable a greater commitment of the Family Health Team, specially to the nurses role in the effective therapeutic accompaniment and education on strengthened health.
