This work completion of the Specialization Course in Education for Coexistence in the Contextual Semiarid, is marked by a complexity, because while it is restricted to approach the teaching of regional and local history in public schools in Serra Branca, on how this presents himself before the educational public policies, within the limits and possibilities of being a contextualizing element of education, we need to understand the process of construction of these public policies after the military regime, what comes to the education proposal in context of the Education Network for the Semi-Arid (RESAB) and historicizing of Regional and Local History. So moves from macro institutional fields such as education prevailing in our country, we call official education contextualized setting regarded as a counter-education by going to the regional and local history. To this end, we used the method of reading and BOOK REPORT texts that deal with various themes to help achieve the goal of our work, these readings being put in debate with the outcome of surveys of the history teachers in public schools Serra Branca through questionnaires with pre-prepared questions about, especially the teaching of regional and local history. Where we realize that the development of public policies in education does not address the solution of problems of education from the very objectives and the structure of schools, through ongoing training of teachers which compromised the quality of education issues coming up which is more subjective model of society that such policies inspired. And amid all this education for the semi-arid presents itself as a counter offer guided popular mobilization in the field and proposing the framework as a starting point for building an education that addresses our situation and within that the idea of seeing the story RESAB regional and local contextualizing as an element of the education in public schools in Sierra White when it is not silenced, presents itself to traditional methods because they do not agree with such practices. Fitting, so the study of the proposed Project Rescue History of White Mountain in partnership with the Federal University of Paraiba that will bring the contribution to overcoming some of these problems in the approach to regional and local history as identification of sources, work history oral methods of research and writing of a textbook.
