Resumo:
The Search aims to analyze the position of the artist Belchior on the music scene in the early 70‟s, a moment marked by great changes within Brazilian society and especially in what concerns to culture. Therefore, we are going to approach the songs Apenas Um Rapaz Latino Americano, Velha Roupa Colorida, Como Nossos Pais e Apalo of the Alucinação disc of 1976, relating them to interviews of the artist throughout the course of his career, his position in defense of musical renewal and space for new artists in Brazilian popular music, due to the fluidity that modernity required. Having the concept of "liquid modernity" created by Zygmunt Bauman (2001), as theoretical fundaments about the historical context studied, it is a purpose of the research as well, understanding the time in which it was stated that there is no more room for musical experimentalism. The method used for searching in the first chapter is qualitative about the artist‟s life journey; in the second chapter, we used an iconographic and iconológical analysis in the treatment of the sources of cover, back cover and disc insert as a way to better ground the research objective. In the third chapter, for analysis of the songs, we had as base the methodológical parameters of analysis of the songs listed by Marcos Napolitano (2002).
