The term Lesbian refers to women that presenting affective attractions by people of the same sex. This practice is increasingly common and still very segregated. Health care homosexual women is neglected by both sides, not only by health professionals and by women themselves. This article aimed to survey the literature on the health care and nursing assistance to lesbians women. This is an integrative review that used scientific articles published in databases: Medical Literature Analysisand Retrieval System Online, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences, and in the electronic library “Scientific Electronic Library Online”, between 2005 and 2015. That had as research question: "What is the knowledge produced in the literature about the health and nursing care to lesbian?". The results show that in 2013 was the year with the largest quantity of articles submitted (28%). Regarding the types of studies, the predominant qualitative approach studies showing the percentage of (43%) of published articles. It was found that the magazine that most published papers related to the topic that was searched was Science and Public Health Magazine with 28.50% of searches. In the analysis of category I, which presents limitations in the quality of care provided to women homossexuals studies have shown that there are major limitations in care, caused by prejudice, professional unpreparedness, disgust of women seek assistance, among other factors. In category II, entitled Proposals for improvements in care of lesbian patient, it might be noted that under the proposed improvements are presente the humanization of professionals, the continuos training, the expansion and implementation of public policies. There is a lack of work related to the approach of homosexuality in health services, especially related to nursing care.
