The contemporary world, not conducive to the development of games in group or traditional, whether due to insecurity that takes the streets; due to the numerous commitments that children assume. The parents meet the wishes of their children's consumption, in order to compensate for his absence in the everyday life of the same. Thus, this study sought to understand how the children from public and private schools of the municipality of Cuité-PB in school age, relate the toy to the meaning of the meaning of the play. This is a descriptive-exploratory type lookup field and, with a qualitative approach. The data were collected by interview, semi-structured questionnaire for subsidised which deals with the theme of post-modernity and its influence on children's behavior: the ressignification of the play. The results were analyzed by means of the technique of content analysis proposed by Minayo. Based on the responses of children from seven to ten years of age rom seven to ten years old who participated in the survey, were built three thematic categories: Playtime more enjoyed by children at playtime, playtime and toys and its interference in interpersonal relationships, favorite toys for children in post-modernity. Through the analysis of speeches of children realize: that when they were in school preferred the traditional banter, but when were at home would rather play alone, play in video games or watch TV. So the search results lead us to reflect how these kids will be in the future when they become adults.
