The baking and confectionery sector is among the largest industrial segments of the country, becoming important in the participation of the national economy. With the increasing number of accidents and diseases related to the activities performed in these environments, the sector undergoes changes to meet the requirements imposed by the Ministry of Labor. In this context the present study made a survey of the ergonomic disorders of the occupational routine of the workers in seven bakeries, located in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, city of the State of Pernambuco. Through the application of forms, it was possible to characterize the population studied in terms of gender, age, education, civil status, among other socioeconomic information. It was also possible to identify the main characteristics of the activities in the bakery, object of study and analyze the main disorders related to the ergonomic risks of the occupational routine, detecting, through the Corlett diagram, the location of the manifestations of pain and their intensity. Finally, actions were proposed to improve the ergonomic conditions of the studied environment, according to the demands identified in the interviews, such as thermal comfort, lighting, shift, loading of loads, furniture and repetitivity of activities, in order to contribute to better conditions of comfort, health and safety of the bakery workers.
